Ålesund
From Oslo to Ålesund
If you drive from Oslo to Ålesund, and you would like to see a little tundra, do not take the way, where the most maps recommend!
If you travel at summer, you should go through the Valdres Natur- og Kulturpark, where (61°17'10.3"N 8°49'29.4"E) at the tundra there is a parking.
At winter, the routes leading north of the tundra are closed, so you can go only with detour.
The tundra
Ålesund
The houses in Ålesund are not made of wood like those in Bergen. However, from Mount Aksla (reachable by car) there is a wounderful view.
Ålesund has a great aquarium, the most of the introduced species there, are living in the Norwegian Sea. Lots of fish, sea anemoma,
octopus, and outside: seals nearly living in the wild - and that's not all, you can play also a fishing computer game.
Norway's map with its territorial waters
The seals living next to the coast are living at islands which are only reachable by ship.
