Runde Island

The Runde Island is one of Norway's most famous birdwatching sites. The most interesting bird, with a nesting place there is the Atlantic puffin. There, we can really see the birds up close, but only a parking on the bottom of the island can be reached by car: the rest of the route is must be made on foot, which means one hour walking plus half hour light rock climbing one way. If you can, go in dry weather, the rocks are slippery! We visited at a rainy day, the tour is as well as can be done, and definetly a wonderful experience.
