Mjlet, the greenest island in the Adriatic is reachable with ferry from the mainland. We travelled with Jadrolinja from Prapratno to the ferry port of Sobra, we also took our car over, becouse of the distances on the island - the fastest way to reach Mljet National Park is by car.
The Mljet National Park lays on the western side of the island. Its main sight is the little island in a salty lake. In the ticket, a boat ride is included. On the small island, an old abbey stands, it has a beautiful garden with orange trees. Along the coast, you will see huge cactuses.

The pine trees which are growing on the island are aleppo pines (lives otherwise in southern Croatia). If you are lucky, you can see mongooses on the island (they were introduced to eradicate vipers).
