After landing with Wizz Air at Malta.html's airport, and picked-up our rental car for first day, our first trip led to the ancient temples. The ticket includes Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra temples and the visitor centre. The two ancient, more than five thousand years old temple complex are in walking distance from each other, but the museum is worth a visit first, where one of the there found statues is exhibited, and you can watch a three-dimensional film.
The ancient temples are visitable, in Ħaġar Qim, they cut a hole in a stone, where at the Summer Solstice the Sun's rays illuminate the temple complex.
Both of the two temples were built near to the seacoast, from Ħaġar Qim you can see the tiny Maltese island, Filfla. It's possible, that they bulit the temple oriented to this tiny island.
At Mnajdra temples, you can go up to the second floor, the most interesting things there are the stones which was used as a calendar.
