The La perle aux oiseaux zoo is a thirty-minute drive from Marrakech. It is said to be a reserve, because sick or rescued animals from black market are placed here. As the name of the zoo shows, most of the animals are birds. You can see cockatoo from Australia, turaco from Esatern Africa, the most interesting animal may be the fennec fox - this is a weird animal, which lives in the desert. On our visit, it retreated from the heat, we saw only the shadow of his ears. With my high magnification camera, the whole animal was clearly visible:

The zoo has had another big launch: the ostrich. Everybody got a bunch of green plants, to feed the ostrich and the goats.
